Default 4000 Bios

Hi, sorry if this has already been covered.

Could someone please explain the differences between the 2.0.252 and the 2.0.282 Bios's. Just curious.

Thanks, Bob

Are you talking about BIOS or OS?

BIOS refers to hardware updates. Like Drive Support, and everything that is on the buss or back plane.

OS is the operating system. When you see small chages they were more the likely bug fixes. In some cases they added support for new things.

There are no BIOS Up-dates for these units.

There are OS upgrades.

Ram can be upgrades.

HD can be upgraded.

I realize there are no updates. I was just wondering what the differences are.

You would have to get hold of SnapAppliance head of engineering to get that info. Which might be avalible if Adaptec cut him.
