Default Big pump..

Pretty cool huh? It's got 1" NPT threads, and a garden hose adapter installed in them right now.
I'm not sure how many GPH this thing is, but I stuck it in a cooler full of water, and hooked a garden hose to it, the flow was as fast and strong as we get from the city water company. I could have washed my car or watered the lawn with it.. hehe.. Quiet too.. Only problem I see is that 5amp rating.. That's 600watts, I assume that's peak, but who knows for sure..
Just thought I'd show it off.. I'm borrowing it from my mother's husband, so I can't sell it.. Wish I could, bet I could get quite a bit for it..

yea, the 5A rating is pretty high but it is AC so who cares...not like you need a power supply for it.

that would be perfect for something like the "BOMB" cooler where they guy burried a tank, or the baseboard radiator that the other guy did...looks like it is ment to be submersed, does it have an inlet fitting or is it a "bottom sucker"?

BTW, here is the spec sheet from little giant:

1200GPH @ 1Ft.

Ahh, sweet, I had been looking for that spec sheet. Yeah, it would be awesome for buried geothermal cooling. No it doesn't have an inlet, it sucks water up from underneath itself. 600watts is still alot of electricity..

What's the application of that pump? Is it used to remove standing water from a location? Or mebbe for waterfalls or something? Fountatins?

600 Watts is a lot of juice, my 1140 GPH pump uses 87 watts, I sell that type of pump where I work, just way too much juice to be consuming 24-7. I have a hard time rationalizing running my 24v @ 14A powersupply for my peltiers, it consumes about 300 watts.

It's a sump pump, it's designed for removing water from a sump. It'd be a nice large waterfall with this pump..
