Default Heatercore and BIX

I got me a heatercore today, and i was wondering if i should just use it, or put the BIX i have in a parallel loop to it.
The heatercore looks like this

Of course i have to clean it first.

You should use it by itself, unless your pump can't handle it, and your flow rate is too low, in which case you'll want to add that BIX in parallel.

well my system is pretty low flow with 6mm (yeah that small) tubing.
i have an Eheim 1048 and Aquacomputer blocks.
i will just try if it gets enough flow first.

What flow rates are you getting?

Fan(s)?

As I see you are german, have you ever tried the Papst diagonal fans?

Papst makes a 127 x 127 x 38 diagonal fan that I'd really love to try out. These diagonal fans have much higher pressure than standard computer fans do.

But nowhere to be found in the U.S.A.

i dont know the flowrate im getting but its probably pretty low compared to you guys 1/2 inch setups.
it works pretty well and cools my AthlonXP 195x9.5 @ 2.1V to about 40 deg C.

i never saw those papst fans in any store and havent found any place to buy them online either.
i'm using a regular papst 120mm on that heatercore though.

What model/Mk/year/Litre was the Granada?. being a Ford it should be possible to get a new one still at a good price...

I'd like to see the price on one of those Papsts, they said they were the 'flagship' of their Fans if I remember rightly though, (bodes ill for the price!! ) ...

sorry, i dont have that information.

and those papst fans probably are pretty expensive.
i will email papst and get a price for them.

i just saw that papst has an online store !
they only have the big diagonal fans listed and its about $100.
pretty expensive for a fan, if you ask me.

well that link isnt that great anyways.
use this one instead, click on online shop, then on "Zur Übersicht", then on "DC - Lüfter (Gleichstrom)", and there you go.

and i looked at it again and if you buy 1-4 of the 172mm diagonal fan it is 131,10 Euro for the 24V version. I wonder why they dont list the 12V version  .
