Default ATI 9700 - some measurements - QUICK!

how long is it between the 2 holes that hold down the block?
I also need a "blueprint" on the size of the shim/maybe core.

fast!

thanks.

hole spacing is 54mm-55mm center to center.

the core is 15mm square

I allowed for a 28cm square when I made my copper 9700 block, I think the exact inside dia of the shim is 29-29.5mm.

Volenti : Is that yours?

And if it is... direct die? Isnt it supposed to have some issues not only with the core itself but with the SMD resistors (or condensers) in the area ? ( Corrosion , erosion ?)

Yea I did that, and yes, just something I was mucking around with a while back, the SMD's do need to be sealed or it won't last for long at all.

Cant seem to see any "changes" in the SMD's in the picture? Lacquer? Varnish? Something like that? Wont it erode?

Or the lexan (im assuming it) doesnt allow the coolant to reach the SMD's (Milled?)?

they are covered in a thin layer of epoxy, which turned out to be not water proof in the end, so that approach was abandoned.
