ok so far i have ordered from online metals
qty description-size price 1 copper 110 h04 rectangle 8.00$$--- Base of waterblock .5" x 2" cut to 4" 1 copper 110 h04 rectangle 2.32$$--- Top of waterblock .125"x2" cut to:4" 1 stainless T-304 annealed rectangle 2.08$$ ---- mounting plate top .0125"by3" cut to 4" are the deminsions that i asked for correct? i REALLY don't want to have a .05" wide base thats 2" deep... This cost me 20$$ and 59cents... im trying to watercool with 65$$ i can spend like 5$max on tubing and about 30$MAX on a pump... should i use a maxi jet 1200 or a via aqua 1300? both 20$$ each any good online retailer for CHEAP tubing? Should i run 1/2 or 3/8's for a waterblock design i was thinking of doing a multi fin design in a spiral shape does that sound good? what size screws will i need for mounting the block via 4 holes on my amd mobo? and last but not least... what are the deminsions of the 4 holes... a 1200 pump is way overkill, an 800L/H pump will do for only one block. and you'll save 20$ again

You'll need a radiator/heatercore also. Search the scrapyard.

About the only thing I would worry about is your choice of thickness on the top plate. If you are planning on drilling & tapping a hole there...1/8" does not allow for very many threads. For myself to be comfortable, I would like to have 1/4" of thread engagement.
just my 2 cents.... also, just curious on how you are going to do the channels in the bas. |

Ive decided that the original design would be too hard so ive decided to go for a straight multi hole design and maybe just do dimples over the core area. My next block will be a spyral with dimples to create turbulance. But for my first one ill just clone a multihole

Eeeeh... attaching file, haven“t done that in this forum before.
Should be a pic of the hole dimensions. Followed a link to Dans Data (I think) from a thread here. Wish me good luck. ![]() regards Mikael S. |
