Default You guys make me lose too much money.

*sigh* Just bought three waterblocks from Swiftech, four 1/2" barb adapters, the MCP650 (just after saving up enough money to get my now only 2-month-old Ehiem 1250), and a Fedco 2-342. Oh yeah, and a $70 dremel. And I still have to get some 120mm fans and Tygon. I'm now around $300 in the hole. You know Dell recently advertised like a 2.4GHz P4 SYSTEM for $300 on their business webpage.

Thanks a lot guys. Dammit I suck.

Is this a rant or a rave? I can't tell.

You guys crack me up! Not only do people get their questions answered, but a little, or a lot of comedy thrown in for good measure.

You gotta spend money to make money. But, in your case and in other people's cases, spend money to accomplish a task; Cooling your rig.

AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

My laptop's hard drive just died last night, which means I probably lost all of my digital pictures from the last year (a few thousand), my journal entries, and who knows what else. Add this to the fact that I'm in the middle of college and I don't have a desktop to fall back on because my parts haven't arrived yet. Now add all that to the fact that my current credit limit is too low for me to buy all the computer parts at once, and that even though I have enough money to pay for all of it, the credit card company doesn't allow me to pay off my balance anytime I want; I have to wait 14 days from the last time I paid them, and the last time I paid them was only 4 days ago, because, well, at that time I had no idea my lappy would crap out on me and I would instantly need $1250+ to build a new computer and get a monitor and get those $400 in textbooks.

So now I have all the parts necessary to build the actual box, but I realised last night that this doesn't mean sh*t because well golly gee, I have no monitor, and I can't get one for another 10 days + shipping time because I have to first pay off my balance.

Oh man, I rule. Currently cruising on a Dell OptiPlex GX200 1GHz P3 in the chemistry library, pwning it up on a ball mouse with no scroll wheel. In adherence to the category of this forum, I report that the Dell is neither water cooled nor has a phase change system.
