Do these pumps still exist? Are all D4s now muffled/gimped? If so, that sucks. Would an MCP600/AquaXtreme 50Z-DC12 be a better option than a muffled D4 for head or flow?

i dont think yu would want the unmuffled one in the first place. even though you might say noise is not a porblem that thing was like 55 db. the muffled one is a little weaker but it is still better then a mcp600

You'd be surprised how tolerant to noise you become after living with a 92mm Tornado in an open case for a year. :-/

the unmuffled pump was 55db or around there. i remember looking for and pump and that was the only thing that drove me away
