Default jump start a power supply?

i know it can be done cause i saw it somewhere but can't seem to find it now. My ps im using for testing is an antec 300W

i couldn't find anything when i did a search for "jump start power supply"
I figured that was pretty much what i wanted to do, but nothign came up.
