Does anyone know of a pic of the internals of that type of pump? Guessing its not like archimedes screw? Well 3.5m head and 25w power draw, sounds a little better than a mag3, as long as its quiet and reliable. Are those types of pumps ok for 24/7? I cant find an Iwaki nor Walchem pdf on it anywhere =( edit--- Im guessing its like this: ![]() Hence the dampening mounting thing. Also guessing it would be quite loud. Saw the same pump (same aution) the other day. I would say for $20 it's worth a shot. Iwaki is a great manufacturer... can't give much else though.

Anyone know what that thing is made for? Is it some special product Iwaki did custom for someone or something?

Its probably more about the liquids it is pumping. I imagine some liquids dont respond well to the turbulence of a centrifugal pump (like beer and stuff maybe).

I used to use similar looking pumps to transfer photoimaging liquids. I don't recall any special handling requirements of the liquids -though they were corrosive. I have seen these pumps in industry where a large volume of liquid was not required.
Even though you have 1/2" ports -I am betting the pump provides moderate volume. I am often fooled by automotive submersible fuel pumps -they look (and sound) like they would be a reciprocating type (that is probably hard with DC), but they have been rotary. If this pump is reciprocating -you are wasting energy reciprocating. Sorry I can't add more valuable content. Please post whether or not you are going to bid -I am curious...

I dont really have much drive to get it. I have a mag3 Im going to use until I can find a 20rz. So I am not going to bid on it. Im just curious of its internal workings.
