Default Swiftech MCW-60

Link: http://www.swiftnets.com/products/mcw60.asp

Thoughts? Rants? Oh yes, please rant if you are so inclined. I enjoy those

To me it looks solid. Single slot, looks to be a good performer (could be "the best") and not a terrible buy at $63 (after all, you do get ramsinks).

Ramsinks are like what, $20 and $40 for waterblock. A bargain IMO. I prefer these blocks over full coverage behemoth. Too excessive.

To bad they can't sell the block by itself because I have ramsink surplus.

Still dont understand why they released mcw-55 and the storm to replace them so soon.

seems kinda obvious. Like the Apogee, the MCW60 is not made in the US and is prolly cheaper for Swiftech to produce. More $ in their pocket.

Finally, presented with interior pics! Thank you!

Yep, cheaper (more cost efficient) design. Again, 'bout time.

I suspect that Storm wasn't a big hit.

why do you need ramsinks?
what is wrong with the stock/reference ram heatsink on nvidia cards?

I think a lot of people didn't like the push-fits, and swiftech lost sales as a result. 1/2" barbs are key.

I agree, push-fit connections were NEVER going to go into my system with water running thru them!

I'm sure that there was a surge of orders when it was introduced, but it's a very expensive block; I figure that the fad blew over rather quickly.

I wonder if this new block would be the Maze 4, or the MP-01 in terms of performance.

Looks to be a good performer, IMO. At $45, I think it's also a good value. Agree about the fittings. I think it would be interesting to bundle the Apogee, MCW-60, and MCW-30 as a package for $90. I'd bite at that.

Swiftech released a kit with those blocks a few days ago. Link to the new Apex "Ultra+" kit. It's $349.95 with a rad, MCP355(There's no MCP355. I suppose they mean the MCP655 and not the MCP350?), two fans, res, hose etc. etc.

I'd perfer Storm, HE120.3, zerex and a fillport instead, but I still think this is one of the best kit's out there.

355 could be what they're referring to the newer DDC Ultra / Pro as...

I wouldn't.... I'd prefer PA120.3... then at least stand a chance of NOT getting a headache.
