I got the Silverstone LC17 case today and over the next week I am going to be doing some review type action. I am being called away for work for a good portion of the week in some emergency repair action... but I hope that not too late into next week I should have a nice HTPC review / HTPC article up.

I got it build up tonight... BTW silverstone PSU's some set to 230v power not 115v for some reason...
I am going to be doing this in a multipart style. Since I am just moving over my rig into the new case first, but in the coming month I am re-doing my HTPC to multiple PVR's, SATA RAID, monitored and controlled cooling, passive cooling, and possibly a bit more power under the hood.... well since I found that 2/3 of the caps on this mobo are leaking hehe (Epox 8RDA+) Part 1 - Movie your hacked together HTPC into a nice case. (sorta done) I will be getting something written up this week. Part 2 - Make your HTPC f'n awesome and silent. I am asking Crystal fontz for some help on this for part 2. The case has a very nice amount of possible cooling in it. Unfortunately it only came with 2 80mm fans. So I have some work to do on it to get it where I want it to be. the review should be fun! ![]() Also a thing to note... this may be the first project on procooling where the site is actually paying for the items needed to do this completely. keep clicking the google banners!!! Some before and after pics - from a 20$ POS case to a nice new one.

Nice looking case!
![]() I can see where a Crystalfontz unit with IR command would be a perfect mod for this case! ![]() Look forward to what you have to say. |
