Default DDC-R2 - 50% more flow, but how about the head?

Does anyone know anything about the new version of the Laing DDC?

The electrical specs are the same, and it still has the 3/8" barbs and the elbow at the inlet, so what did they do? Change the impeller?

If it gets 50% more flow across the whole P-Q curve, that's one awesome little pump. But it sounds too good to be true. Might they have sacrificed head for flow?

Ah, okay, maybe this is the same as what dangerden is calling the DDC plus. 18W instead of 10.
