Default snap 1000 is really slow

Guys

Running this snap server with the original 14gb drive in it.

I also have a pc on my network which i use for backups etc.

If i transfer an 1gb file from my main pc to the other pc it takes 2mins

If i transfer the same 1gb file from my main pc to the snap it takes 11mins

Is this just the drive thats holding this speed back?

Cheers

Drives could be part of it, but the snap 1000 is just slow period. Slow processor, slow IDE bus, slow everything. I doubt you will ever get more performance out of it than you already have. You could try a drive upgrade if though. More space is never a bad thing...
