Default slight server hiccup

The server had some problems, so to resovle quickly I restored from an image backup that was a month old and just reloaded the SQL DB's from my daily offsite backups I do.

Unfortuately that means we lost about 10 hours of data off the forum. Oh well!

Ah, I registered just yesterday and tried to login today and it didn't work, while letting me re-register with the same info. This explains why.

hehe Yep!

For some reason the email server stopped wanting to use port 25... I tried everything I could but figured "**** it, I have a backup!" unfortunately the backup was 10 hours old. First reboot the server has had in nearly 260 days

Joe, I cannot accept such a cavalier attitude! Just think of how many "Free XBOX360!!!1!" posts I'll never see.

yeah I demand the spam brought back so I can delete it!

Seriously though good thing the site is kinda dead right now. I remember several large discussions in the past that would have been pretty messed up with 10 hours lost. Many not so constructive though I guess.

Hehehe, well back then I would have taken some measures to save that 10 hours... but in this case I just wanted to get the server back up and running as fast as possible cause I had a date to get to a few hours later

hehe its all about priorities
