Default Ok...need your help guys.

I've been searching for these specs but can't seem to locate them.

I'm looking for the official measurements for the mounting holes that go around the cpu socket for optionally attaching a heatsink to. You know the ones....

Anyone know if these holes are an Intel or an AMD spec?

physical location on the motherboard is NOT what I'm after because naturally each m/b will vary....BUT, the distance between the holes will always be the same.

Anyone...please?

See if you can search intel's site for ATX 2.03, because it's part of that standard..

Oh, and if Chip's not too busy, he should have the information too (Chip @ OCWC) because he made that new Socket A polyblock..

Ahh, that's cool, I made a retention clip using those holes after the 2coolcomputer waterblock's clip sheared a lug off my last motherboard.. Actually using that clip right now while I wait for my socket A silverblock from OCWC.. Those 4 holes are most definately the single most cool thing added to motherboards since the lugs were first introduced on socket 3 boards.. (Did they even have them? Maybe it wasn't till socket 4 or 5..)

Erik,

Don't know if you still need the link...sorry I took so long to respond, but here it is anyway.

The actual diagram with dimensions is on page 19.
