What is the fastest AMD Opteron CPU that the 500 series can handle? Looking at the Super Micro site it says the motherboard (H8SSP) supports Single AMD Opteron, (Dual Core Ready) 1000 MHz HyperTransport Link.
I'm currently using the 250 chip and it works fine, will a faster single core (252, 254, 256) work? Will any of the dual core (265, 270, 275, 280, 285) processors work? I'm running GuardianOS 5.1.046 Thanks |

If you look at the snap line, as you go up in features the cpu speed increased. I have no idea what the max is on these newer machines.
