Default Voltage Issue

While I am building my beast, I am running a 133mhx MMX at 266mhz X 75mhz FSB. The mainboard has a duel voltage option where I can run 2.9 volts, or 3.5 volts, these are the only options. At this time I am running 2.9 and the system is farley stable, but I was wondering if I would get more stability at 3.5v ,or would that hurt the CPU? I would apprecaite any help.
