I know this is waaaaaay-off topic but since this is the most active forum here at ProCooling I figured I'd get my question answered faster.. =/
I recently built myself a brand spankin new computer and I got myself one of those 3COM 56K Modems (I don't have dsl... yet). Now this modem has a internal speaker on it and the thing is driving me insane. I can't turn it off or adjust the volume of it. I was wondering how I can get that sound to come out of my speakers instead so that I can control the sound levels and such. Help! Thank You, Ikari |

Are you SURE you can't turn the speaker off? Your modem ought to have a code that you can enter into the init string to disable the speaker. On my modem (Hayes) the code is 'L0'. Your manual should have all the codes listed.
