Saw this on overclockers this morning.
www.overclockers.com/articles546/ would've been nice to see how the spri@l does against the other sprial. Here's a quote " I contacted DTEK Customs, the people who market the Spir@l Block (cute name) but they chose not to reply to my email" Including myself I have 4 people that would love to purchase your block. hmmmmmmmmmmm..... to bad you still can't order them ![]() ![]()

Yeah he did contact Danny at D-tek, but he is having email problems. We got a block ready to sendto him, and Danny emailed him back, but I guess it wasto late. OH well
As far as the Gemini block, When he first came out with the block, We talked. I told him there were a few things I would like to see from him, then I would be more then happy to see him produce his blocks that look SOOOOOOOO CLOSE to the SPIR@L that its uncanny. he seemed like a nice guy, and we aggreeded upon cross shipping blocks to each other to review and check out. I wanted to seehow it would preform and so on. I also had a few other "REQUESTS" and NONE were met. I am beginning to feel like I was ripped off. Not to mention USED, and Screwed over. I can tell you this, I am a nice guy and would bend over backwards to help someone out, Untill I feel screwed. And that I do. So... I will see what I can do about this matter. Needless to say, IM PISSED OFF!

Does anyone know why the Spir@l from D-Tek is so back logged? I would like to try one.
Fixittt , sorry about your situation, sounds unfair. Now I understand what you were stating when the Gemini image went up here on the forum. In addition thanks for the suggestion you made about the air being trapped in my Maze2, I changed the "T" location and my temps dropped about 3C. I used the drawing "cycozcrap " was kind enough to create for a model and it worked out well. Thanks to him also. Jim |

They Spir@ls are so back logged because I make them myself. Its my hobby, and I am only one man. But we (Danny at d-tek) have contacted a machine shop and got some really good looking quotes. It looks like they will be mass produced. (Some design changes in effect as well)

That's great. I will be buying one of your blocks when they come in to supply. Hope all goes well getting them mass produced.

I don't know how I got "cycocrap" (LMAO) from "Cycodude" but I am sorry about that! Really! Hey, "cycocrap" was at the bottom of the page I printed off your website with the drawing I mentioned earlier. Yikes, everybody must think I'm crazy! Jim |

It's interesting to see the two geminis performed the same, it'd be interesting to see a billa style setup with differant flow rates in them (and the other 4 blocks too)

1 Week later I had seen no drawings of his design. I proceed to email Fixitt concerning this issue and also to alert him that I was entering the Gemini blocks into a head to head competition performed by John at overclockers. On 2/14 Fixitt responded. I was contacted by Fixitt saying that he would like to exchange blocks. Admittedly, I did not respond to this email. I was extremely busy with my own product and also my three kids. Now I see Fixitt talking very badly about me and Gemini. Gemini is a small Job shop. I had an idea to design a great water cooling block. Obviously, bring the cool water into the center and go outward. The spiral was a natural solution. I stole nothing. Our blocks are very different. They only look similar I am willing to assist Fixitt in bringing his design to market, in whatever way I can. I am not willing to modify my design, because it is backed up by solid engineering. I would be happy to provide Fixitt a quotation on however many blocks he'd like to have Gemini manufacture. That is the truth, Peter. |

Ok guys, I am printing a retraction.
I was thinking about what I was about to become and what I would like to see the "Industry" become and they were 2 totally different things. I didnt like it. I am not a crazed a$$ hole that wants everything for himself. I just got off the phone with Peter. Called him to basicly say I was sorry for all this mess. He is a great guy and we have descided to work together. His block is totally tageted towards a different group of water cooler. This I understand now. There will be no legal action sought out. Instead Our idea is to create a one stop shopping for water cooling. He is going to send me some samples of his blocks and I will compare them to mine. Not to mention take lots of pics and point out what is different. I think it will be god to see them sitting side by side, as a stand alone pic does not give a good indacation of the size or dementions of anything. So I want to say im sorry to all of the forum readers for blowing my top. Isnt it amazing what stress will get you!!!!!! "NOTHING" but a bad addatude. I have never been one to blast someone or there products (except for that z4 ![]() Its better to work with someone, then to waste efforts trying to work against someone.

The thing I find most interesting is that the 1/4 tubing waterblock (normal block) performs better than the 3/8 tubing waterblock.

So many mill avatars! I must fight back
![]() I'm glad to see that fixittt and gemini got everything sorted out. Personally, I like both blocks. It's nice that the watercooler market is small enough for disputes to be settled outside of court. Last edited by sunblade; 03-14-2002 at 07:03 PM. |

it looks like the $60 drill press I have in my garage, except that I had to MOD mine, U know me, nothing is ever stock! I had a 6 foot tall pipe made for my little desktop drill press, not its Taller! No more limit on bigger parts that I might want to drill. I also have a small machinist vise on the drill press. It has the x and y axis crank handels on the vise, so I dont have to re postion the part after drilling, I can just crank the hendles to the next desired location

Wow, a drill-press for under $100? I guess I was way off
Maybe I'll reconcider. A custom waterblock WOULD be rather fun. How about a block with a penguin shaped channel, dual 3/8th inch barbs for input at the feet and a single 1/2" barb for output at the head. Oh, look at what this forum has done to me! |

Here's my drill press
![]() The ability to do angular cuts (it's a radial drill press) is awsome. I could drill out angled barbs and channels. ![]()
