Refering to my previous post about using a drill press, I was looking aroud on the net for stuff about endmill bits, and I saw a page that had ones for routers. One thing that was mentioned about a drill press is its design for vertical use, not side to side. Would a router be more suitable, due to its design for side pressure? I was thinking maybe its still not up to metal side pressure, as I can see wood being considerably softer. Just throwing this out there as other people's experience far surpasses mine. Thanks.

I do not think routers have the tourqe to handle metal but they might. In any event you will not be holding onto it going into metal. It will tear out of your hands. Go with the drill press, I just bought a new one for $40!!! That will mill enough stuff before it wears out. Also you can drill out the majority of the block with a standard drill bit and then finish it with an endmill. That would take a lot of pressure off the drill press side to side.
