I am trying to design my first block. I am useing a proLIGHT machineing center from Light Machine Corp. I made the drawing in masterCAM, and generated the NC code. I then opened the code with WPLM1000 ver. 1.05, the controlling software provided with with the mill. When i verify in WPLM1000 program, nothing happens, but when i verify in mastercam, it turns out fine. Is it possible that the NC code generated by matercam is not compatable with WPLM1000?
If i run the program, the mill goes to the factory set Home Position. I would really apreceate any help you guys can give. Thanx

mastercam has a code generator that has to be set so the nc code comes out to match your mill...unless your lucky and mastercam as a preconfigured code generator that matches your machine...if it doesnt just pic something close to what u need and modify it to match what the manual that cam with your machine...its probly just the code at the beginning and ending of your program

It sounds like what UPALLNIGHT has said.
Your mills controler software requires a "POST PROCESSOR" while G code is suppost to be a standard. Different manufactures "CHange things" a bit. Also, anything at the beginning of the CNC program that is not in ( ) will try to be read by the machine and will mote then likley crash it. Try putting everything is ( ) at the begining of the programs. Also some CAM software puts "N"`s in front of each line. and alot of mill software doesnt reconize these letters. try deleting them. What I have done with my MAXNC mill was have a batch file writen that will go thrue my out sourced G code program and filter all the junk that my mill cant read. Maybe this is an option for you to.
