Default Would a 156w tec be suitable?

I have a AXP 1400Mhz @ 1650Mhz 2.08v cooled by a maze 2 + BLack Ice Extreme and a 500Ghp Pump and i was thinking of getting a 156w tec off www.over-clock.co.uk.
1/ Would the tec be powerfull enough to cool the CPU
2/ The tec is rated at 12v with 16a+ so would my PSU with a 12v rating of 33a be able to handel the tec and my system

Cheers

TEC 156W:

if you use it at 12V you have 75% of the power
75% of 156W = +-120W. For a XP at 2V that is
not good. Maybe you would get at +25°C but
I don't think any lower is possible.

PSU:
At 12V the TEC uses 12A. I would recommend against
using the main PSU because it will seriously
strain the 12V line and the tstability of the
system

it'll be ok, but not really ideal, you'd be better with a 226w, and as you have a 33a 12v psu then you'll be fine with either pelt

yea but every one seems to recon my BIX wont handel a 226w tec so thats why i want a 156w. My processor only puts out around 103w of heat so i would have thought that a 156w tec @ 12v could handel it?

the bix will handle 2x 226w pelts just fine, if you have a fairly powerful 120mm fan (over 70cfm)

Then your proberly better off with a PC70 or something bacause in mine i have my DVD drive and then my Cd-writer and my lian-li temp probe there is only room for 2 actuall drives and room for about 2 temp displays or a rheobus. So if you need the space for all them drives and ahve your black ice mounted then just get a PC70 or something.
