CA$50 is still too much for a 130gph pump, surely becooling will ship that 370gph pump to Canuck-land if you ask them nice enough

I got a ViaAqua pump from CPU-Watercool (www.cpuwatercool.com) - they are based in Canada, so I didn't pay any customs fee's and shipping was fairly cheap and fast. They also put on either 3/8" or 1/2" brass fittings for you. All the prices on their site are in $Can.

No, you misunderstood, or I didn't elaborate enough. I was just commenting on the pumps availabe on the link provided. Not what you were intending to use.

Brian - how long ago was it that you ordered the stuff that you didn't receive? If less than 3 months ago it's not too late to call your credit-card company. Tell them you never received your product and that you want that transaction reversed. If they give you a hard time, also tell them that you didn't sign anything and they legally have to give you your money back.

I paid them thru Paypal on April 3, 2002. I have launched complaints with Paypal and the BBB on Ontario.
Paypal needed authorization (ie not enough funds in the account) to issue a refund. BBB says they are not a member and, therefore, could not help. I have to wonder what good they are at all. I will try my Visa tomorrow. What I don't is that if Visa refunds my money from Paypal, will Paypal come back after me or will they go after CPUWaterCool? Maybe I will read their 3000 page agreement ![]() Thanks |

Visa will take the money out of Paypal's account (not bank account - in order for Paypal to process Visa's they have to have a type of account at a bank that uses Visa and that account will have about $1000 in it specifically to cover these issues) and notify Paypal of it. Paypal will of course want their money, and they may come after you for it - if they do tell them you didn't receive your product. If they keep bugging you about it, I'd just hang up on them. When they realize they aren't going to get anything from you, they will likely go after CPUWaterCool. How the two of them work it out doesn't really matter. So long as you never received any product, and never signed any paper, there's really nothing either of them can do to you, except refuse to do business with you in the future. You're basically using the same loophole as a lot of credit-card fraud over the 'net uses, except you're using it for good, not for evil.
