As big as you can get!
![]() Acutally, you would probably need at least a 156W but a 172W or higher would be better. The highest wattage pelt that I have seen available from water cooling vendors was a 220W. Also if you are going to put even a 156W pelt in your machine, you need to have it powered by its own power supply. Even a 156W pelt @ 12V will draw close to 14-15amps by itself. Most smaller computer powersupplies cant even handle that load without anything else attached to it. Finally, those pelts will put out A LOT of heat (wonder why? ![]()

im not planing on using water cooling, the old fashioned head sink and phat fan. its probely better but in my mind, water + computer = trouble. i think im gonna get this case but im not too shure. i just dont want water in a computer.

In that case DONT try and pelt coold your CPU!!!!
From what I have heard around the forums here, the maximum pelt you can cool with a Heatsink + Fan combo is an 80W pelt and that pelt is TOO small for an Athlon or an XP. The Xp will put out around 65-75W of heat and an 80W pelt will just cause it to fry. Unless you have one giant heatsink + fan combo.........like the size of your case ![]()

i might be able to get my hands on this new carbon-foam compound. Supposed to be the most uber-L33T heat sink there is. Its a foam kinda like stryofoam, its black and costs like 500 bucks for a piece of it, scraps awalys work though! if i whip out my math skillz i can see though...
