I'm not 100% positive, but I think that you would be oK. Especially if they were the only two fans that you had on there. But I would think that if you hade more it would b OK. It's supposed to suport up to 8, but mine only has 4 slots. So, my recommendation is give it a shot!

i'm 100% sure it'll work. i used to run my Delta 80mm & 92mm screamers on my DD5 with 0 issues. if i remember correctly, the 92mm is rated at a hefty 1.5A (or 18W per channel), so your tornados won't come close to overloading it.
[edit] BTW, the Digidoc can carry 1.5A on EACH channel. this makes the actual collective rating at 18Wx8=144W total. i'd excercise caution however, since the supply lines too small to carry that load without heating. as long as you don't go over 18W on any one channel, you should be fine. (so don't hook both tornadoes to one channel). in my setup i had the 2 Deltas (separate channels), 5 normal 80mm fans (2 pairs in parallel, 1 with a separate channel), 2 120mm Mech fans (1A @ on separate channels), & the built in 40mm Sunon running together on my DD5. that took up all 8 channels.

you can also use a relay switch between the DD5 header and fans. We are using 10A DPDT relay switch for auto 7V to 12V mod for DD5.
The relay switch also acts as an insulator between the DD5 header and fan (or fans). Check out PH's review of our AquaXtreme XG case. There's a section called "customized DD5" where he's giving more info about our relay switch mod. ![]() Bruce www.cooltechnica.com |
