Using the SMBus

Its been WAY too long and I forgot how the SMBus works...but I was wondering, was there anyway to add more sensors to it so that software programs could read more than the default amount of temp sensors on the motherboard? I personally would like more temp readings, but don't want anything external such as case mounted gauges and LCDs...anymore anyway

There are ways of adding more readers(do a search for AMD on die reader mods) to the SMBus, and these can read multiple diodes(?) if you assign each one an address.
I don't know about adding just diodes/thermistors to the SMBus though, hell I don't know anything about the readers!(or anything else for that matter) really!, I just read shit
