Another LianLi PC70 In Progress

Changed ISP's, this page shows some detail of whats going on right now.

Water cooling components consists of Danger Den Maze3, BIX mounted above power supply, Eheim 1250, 1/2" hose. Case is modded to mount power supply right side up in lower position. Radiator is ducted to ambient air.

In the process of installing a dual CPU MB, waiting for second Maze3 water block.

I apologize for that! I changed ISP's and haven't had the time to change them over yet.

I have this page up which has a couple more pics on it. I am in the process of putting a dual CPU board in it, waiting for second water block.

Jesus 2 Maze3's, you may run into a problem with the 2'nd CPU in the loop running hotter though since the water is being heated by the 1'st CPU then going right into the 2'nd. But makes for a really pretty picture :-)

Actually CPU 1 runs at 31C, CPU 2 runs 32C loaded in 22C ambient as reported by Dig Doc 5 sensors under the block touching the CPU cores. BIOS reports slightly higher temps but the difference is the same betwen CPU's, 1C. CPU's are MP1800's.

myv65 had posted some good info about blocks in series over at AMDMB, but I can't recall the specifics. Since there isn't much of a performance hit, it was worth it to keep it neat and in series rather than using Y splitters.

Something tells me that you know precisely how much flow you're getting through those blocks. Call it a hunch, I guess.

Gist of the reasoning goes a little like this. In parallel, total flow rate will be higher but flow through each leg will be less than if the blocks are in series. Since cooling requires convection, which thrives off of velocity, plumbing in series generally yields lower chip temperatures.

Since the total flow will be lower in series, you'll see a higher overall temperature rise in the fluid. But since the flow will remain above ~40 gph with your blocks and pump, you're still looking at just over a 1°C rise overall, which should show as a little under a 1°C differential on the chips.

Well, I do and I don't. Time was short so I didn't want to submerge the Eheim to do a flow test and stick it back in the case with water dripping out of the back of pump.

So, I flow tested the complete system with a Via Aqua 1300, which has a lower flow rate than the Eheim 1250. I got 84GPH, so I estimate 95-100GPH with the 1250.

still a clean setup,, wish i could afford duallie MP's but i'll just stick to palominos for now,, dont want to touch t-breds yet because so far they seem to be really shitty overclockers.. What motherboard are you running?? hard to tell from the pic,, Tyan?

The board is an Epox M762A. This board has no way to adjust vcore or memory voltage, just FSB. Waiting to see if the Iwill dually will be released with those features.

What voltage regulator chips does the board use? It could be quite possible that a voltage mod would be pretty easy...
