Are the fastening down holes on graphic cards laid out in the same place for different models of the cards ?
I ask because I have a GF MX type of card and wondered that if I make myself a block using the holes to fasten it down will I be able to transfer the block to say a GF4 ? Cheers Chris.

All NVidia cards have the same 'corner' holes from TNT to Geforce3. GF4 holes are set further away from each other and thus need a different retention mechanism.
This is true for 95% of NVidia cards, though i've seen exceptions... |

Yes but usually NB blocks have 'straight' barbs sticking out of top, and GFX blocks have 'side' barbs.
But if you don't care about losing many PCI slots... |
