Default A few blocks

Just made up some blocks (To sell). Unfortunately didn't have a camera during most of the making. Though dad just bought a Pentax Optio 430RS. 4 megapixel, 3x Optical zoom, light and compact. Sexy.

Any way heres a few pics:

http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/pipp...s/block015.jpg
http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/pipp...s/block016.jpg

The diagonal holed (and barbed) chipset blocks are just open chamber (Made for someone) wheras the GF2/3/Radeon mounting holed blocks are U shaped channels.

The two complete GF2/3/Radeon mounting holed blocks are for chipsets only as I ****ed up (was trying to make a block that would fit GF4 4 holes too) and didn't account for the right angle adaptors

The unfinished block is just a high flow block for GF2/3/Radeon, with 5/8"(15.5mm) x 10mm deep channels.

The textured finish on the block actually exists (The photos arnt grainy, both the bench and the blocks have a rough texture) and was intentional. It looks pretty cool in my opinion and is quick to do (faster than sanding flat) using an angle grinder with a wire brush bit.

Cheers,
pippin88

The blocks looks really nice! I like the finish a LOT!!! Did you put some clear coating on them or something?

Yep, clear copper laquer. Keeps it from tarnishing, handy stuff.

Good work Pippin. From what I can tell it looks like you have a real nice and thin solder joint on those, good job. The only suggestion I would make is get some street fittings for the vid blocks so the barbs are parallel with the block

The camera seems really good. 11b inbuilt memory, (we got a 128mb card chucked in as part of a deal), max res of something over 2200xsomething, different quality settings. All very adjustable. Small and light.

However I havent really had a play with any other decent cameras in a while.

Those are realy nice looking blocks. Hehe you got quite a production there, I never had more than two equal blocks made at the same time. I like how you didn't complicate the interrior of the chipset block, any open chamber block is more than enough for even the hotest northbridge, anything more than that just kills the flow rate that is needed on cpu block

Completely forgot to mention those. I have adaptors to do so. Unfortunately the only ones I can find that are nice and compact need one side to be drilled out, otherwise it only has a 3 or mm hole. . Not a big drama but annoying none the less.

Also I finished that GPU block, it looks the best so far I think. Unfortunately I think I had the spindle speed to high for my 5/8" bit and the copper was getting to the stage of pretty colours (Thats ****ing hot), and I think I blunted the slotdrill somewhat. Now its not cutting down very well, it just trying to jerk the vice and table round. I'll have to take it out and have a good look.

Thats what all the blocks with diagonal holes look like inside.

GPU:

The barbs are only screwed in very loosely, and as such protude more both horizontally and vertically.

Took a while, but I drilled out every barb and right angle, to be less flow restrictive (Over 40 of the suckers)
