I dunno. Thought Cathar was going to send one early so I could post a review upon release day. If it comes next week I can probably get it posted by the weekend.

My guess is that you will be getting a storm along with the Nexxos XP and maybe the HP also within the next week~10days from the post he made about the testing of the XP.

Phaestus I don't even have complete Storm blocks in my hands yet. I have but a single complete Socket A block, which has been tested at my end, and I didn't really want to send you a block that's been through the ringer here. Still don't have the mounting brackets (due Wednesday), base-plates (due Friday) and boxes (due Monday). Then I have a busy weekend ahead of assembling, and boxing.

i.e. this is just pre-orders only. A block will head Procooling's way the same time as everyone else. Remember, this is not a commercial venture. No money being made here. Differing sets of priorities. I don't have the capacity to field dozens of orders at once and I really needed to get any pent-up demand out of the way before any major publicity like a review.

Sorry Phaestus, did not mean to offend.

It's what it costs me to get them made. No "laws" of supply and demand here.

I've never made one. Silver G5's plans and a few silver plates are with the machinists now being prototyped. Expect 2-4 weeks for them to come back.

G6 can be made, but it's pretty finicky fine machining and not something I intend to ask the machinists to do while things are a little hectic right now.

Cathar:
Not offended at all and didn't mean to imply such. Too bad bp finish on the prototype wasn't good enough for me to post meaningful test results.

My game plan as of now is to get my old test system back up and running again by Wednesday and then whenever the Nexxos wbs and G4 arrive I can just get right to work. This entails my repeating wb testing of a couple of other older blocks to verify everything is working properly but such is life.

I'm out of the loop. Is the Storm series also a jet impingement design like the Cascade? Or is it something altogether new?

http://www.employees.org/~slf/lrwb/

The site is hand-programmed with an HTML book in one hand and me trying to ensure strict compliance with the HTML/2.0 standard as a minimum. There are no MSIE-isms in the content.

I'd be highly surprised if it broke any type of web-browser, so I suspect that the issue may be something else.

Something like that. I won't reveal anything formally in the near-term future. I'm happy for people to guess at it for a while.

Well seeing as its code named storm i would think it works on the principle of creating alot of turbulance rather than pure impingement.

Do i win?

It's closer to pure impingement than the Cascade was.

But I mean, wont everyone know come Late September/October when the first ones arrive and someone takes a hacksaw/screwdriver to it, MCW-6000 + Dremel style?

Or isn't that the near future?

Hacksaw? Fortunately all you need is an allen key.

It may not be all that obvious from visual inspection. One person whom I trust not to blab looked at it, and even though he knows a bit about waterblocks, wasn't able to immediately pick what is was that makes it special without some clues.

I have no doubt though that many heads looking at it will result in a near immediate picking of its important bits though.

Near future - as in 8 weeks or so I guess.

Yes, pictures are always in demand. Especially for something new that nobody has seen yet. I'm glad this Waterblock is going to market finally, its been a long time in the making and many people have followed it.
