Hi all!
I have another quick question. Would a Black Ice Extreme (copper core) and a Swiftech MCW462-B water block (copper base plate / aluminum body) be a bad comibination? I remember that I read a post or an article somewhere which said that a battery effect would occur. Would it occur in this case, or should I go with the Danger Den Maze2? Any response is geatly appreciated!

if the aluminum is is on the interior of the waterblock, and is unnanodized, then i wouldn't mix it with a copper heatercore.
I see chip over @ OC-WC has some new metal alloy he uses in his iceflow series of waterblocks. I wonder what the electromagnetic properties are? [ 12-16-2001: Message edited by: Badly_Wired ]

I know that the interior of the base is aluminum, and that the website http://www.swiftnets.com says that the waterblock now comes with a blue adonized treatment, but it really doesn't specify whether or not the interior is also adonized.
Does anyone own a Swiftech MCW462 waterblock who could answer this question? Thanks for the reply!

I would assume that the inside is also anodized blue. It would be tough to just anodize the outside. Plus, Gabe is a smart guy and I'm sure he realized that just coating the outside wouldn't cover the problem. Use water wetter to prevent any sort of bacteria or corrosion as you would in any system, and you'll be fine no matter which radiator you choose.
