Got about 450$ and i'm thinking of either buying megaworks 2.1 thx speakers and a audigy 2 ex so I can plug in my minidisc and the speakers and get superb sound. Or I might buy a itx motherboard and a dvd burner. Not really shure what I should be spending my money on.

If you care about audio quality, don't get a creative sound card, but look at more "professional" sound cards.
Some examples of decent cards would be: http://www.sekd.com/product_main/prodif_88_info.htm http://www.etcetera.co.uk/products/MED010.shtml http://www.etcetera.co.uk/cgi/show_...u=Marian&class= http://www.sekd.com/product_main/prodif_t_2496_info.htm http://www.sekd.com/product_main/pplus_info.htm http://www.sekd.com/product_main/prodif_a_info.htm http://www.etcetera.co.uk/products/AAR035.shtml http://www.etcetera.co.uk/products/AAR032.shtml http://www.etcetera.co.uk/products/...ohoontech.shtml Terratec and M-Audio/Midiman are really nice too |

Buy an NForce2 board instead with onboard Soundstorm. Not only will your system run faster, but you'll have Audigy2 quality sound.

I've never been one to be too picky, however I am a fan of high quality sound if it doens't take too much work. The soundstorm audio will not disappoint unless you are among the most finicky of users. Yes, there are better things out there, but for 99.9% of the users SS will be more than acceptable.

My soundstorm is worse quality than my 5.1!, it may be better if you run digital speakers off of the SPDIF though...
Anologue sucks for sure... Everything I've read says the latest Audigy is better than the SS. It uses EAX3.0 which trounces on SoundStorm's... |

Well those soundcards all seem very nice. But are there any companies that sell them in Sweden? Also which one of them is the best music (~210$)? One reason I like audigy2 is that I also get eax 3 which is quite nice ![]() (http://uk.europe.creative.com/produc...t.asp?prod=374)

No idea at all where to find them in Sweden, guess you'll have to make a few phone calls yourself...
I dunno the cambridge speakers really, never heard them, so I can't comment on them, though I don't expect stellar performance. And EAX3 isn't that much of a must-have imo, decent sound quality is more important to me |
