Default High Performance "Fish Mate" pumps

I haven't seen anyone talk about these pumps. From the specs they look really good. They are pretty big though, but in an external setup or most full tower cases that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Heres some linkage:

at $400 a pop..."There's your sign"

that much power in moving water is going to boil it, before the water gets to the blocks..... almost.

For cluster-farms and supercomputers, maybe something to look into, thanks for the link.

You also missed the fact that even the smallest one draws 40W, which is pretty high. In light of that fact, I think you could probably get a better pump at the same wattage.

Actually, it's pretty fair.

The smallest pump (@ 40 W) has a max head of 7 feet, a bit better than an Eheim 1250. Max flow rate is 600 gph, almost twice the Eheim 1250, which draws 26 Watts. If anything, I'd be worried that the pump is a noisy direct drive design.

The pump is really designed for a low restriction loop, but will work just the same.

If you can afford $400 for a pump, look at "March" pumps: you won't be dissapointed.

I would say look into Iwaki... will be much quieter than the march pumps I would think. MD-30RZ would be nice

Yep, here's one:

It's the same as a March pump, and costs $440 USD.
