Pretty Much the same as the Alien.. friend just bought one.. LCD is framy/ghosty for fast FPS.... Then again all LCD's are 9600 Mobile GPU Oh and the thermal fan sounds like a 747 when it kick in.. ok.. not qite a 747.. but small and high RPM.. damn loud... It is nice and the options are great... cant beat the price...but it is HEAVY! Like 16Lbs |

I have been drooling over my computer screen for the past week since I discovered this site. Custom built Laptop for Gaming and other uses. AMD Athlon 64 Laptop. They have a forum that is available to all about their products. Not so with Alienware (What are they trying to hide?) Best regards from Montreal (Will be a voodoopc customer soon) Frenchnew

I'd say the voodoo pc laptops are the best of the bunch. I used to work for falcon-nw no one sold laptops but voodoo was defenitly the best competition for us.

I prefer to do business with companies that are not shy of showing what is reality. Some people will say that those forums are only there for the people to post about the problems with their system. I say it is a place so people can share their experiences (Good and bad) about the products they purchased. We as consumers can't trust reviews in magazines as most of those are biased (the magazine publisher are afraid of loosing advertising if they published the real results). Same reason why I went with Dell for my laptop 3 year ago.(Open forums and previous experience with them). Now, Iwill go into formula1 notebook category - M855 Voodoopc, because Dell does not offer such notebooks (AMD64 3200+, ATI Radeon Mobility 9600). Best regards from Montreal, Canada frenchnew

Check these out:
http://pctorque.com/ Sager laptops. From what I've heard, they're everything Alienware & Voodoo are and then some. Supposedly they run cool too.

sager builds alienware, last i heard. my only gripe about sager is last time i scoped them out, their screens were no where near alienware for some reason, which really sucks because they were a lot cheaper :/
