Default Custom Sealife Velocity Pump t1

Has anyone used that pump and can anyone tell me anything about it. Its specs look pretty good and I'm thinking of getting one over an iwaki md20. Thanks

I did a bit of research on this pump. High quality without doubt.

But also is going to have a rather Xtreme amount of heat it adds.

140 watts will be very hard to be rid of (A bit more than your CPU, eh?). And it is designed to deliver over 1000 gph at 0 head, way excessive for puter use.

If you want a really Xtreme pump I'd say go with the Iwaki MD30-RLZT which is a lot more powerfull than the MD20. Due to the differant design of the impellors in the MD30 vs Sealife pumps the Iwaki can @ 24' of head come very close to the larger motored Sealife's performance while adding 1/3 lower amount of heat to the water. This is possible as the Iwaki is built for max lift, at lower max flow.

The Iwaki MD30 falls about half way between the MD20 and that Sealife Velocity pump, in the heat it will add to the systems water. If your cooling rad is large and effective the MD30 may offer a small advantage, but it won't be much for it's cost.
