Damn thats cool. It took me a little bit to understand how the top works but it is almost impressive. Any tests done on it yet?

heheh, indeed it takes a minute to understand.

from a design perspective, i wonder what advantage the block has from a side intake. the BP is done marvelously, but why not have a center intake?

edit, second look, unnecessary flow resistance from the right to the center.

Depends.
It looks like a block for a innovatek type fittings/system, looking at the entrance/exit. Or even Aquacomputer.

Then the restriction doesn't account for that much, and it's probably deliberate.

Those test results stretch believeability somewhat. The TIM joint itself usually has at least a 0.05C/W doesn't it? That would imply that there is NO deltaT associated with wb and that the TIM is 100% the limiting factor.

Nonetheless I guess the graphs suggest it's a good performer

Nah, 'tis no milling there, except for the O-ring and end-cavities.

Looks to me like a series of 0.5mm slitter saws ganged up on an arbor, each separated by 0.5mm. Either 18, 9, or 6 at once. Basically drop the ganged slitter saws in, turn the block 90 degrees and drop again. Quick, fast, done.
