Default LCD Monitors for gaming

I'm looking to get my self a Xmas gift. Something nice and gamey like that new Dell FP2001. =) Except its way too much and itsn't out as a single item yet.

Anyone have a good idea of a 19" (or even 17") LCD that is sub 16ms and really nice to game on?

DAMN !! you have a nice computer. For the monitor i would recommend the NEC MultiSync LCD1760V-BK. I just bought one from newegg and its really good for gaming.

thanks.

Computer wise, I was lucky enough to go on that AMD trip for their A64 launch party. It wasn't cheap but $650 for 2 people to fly to San Fran, stay in the hotel, AND get the cpu, mobo, and ram was too good to pass up on. =)

Have you used that for gaming alot? Does it smear at all in FPS?

I have a Samsung 191T that works really well for me

not as great as a CRT but the colors and responsiveness are top notch

if you LAN alot, I would recomend a smaller 15" TFT just for that
I have a Samsung 191T and a Samsung 152T. I take the 152T with me to LAN's in a backpack and it works out great. Small, very little ghosting, and cheap enough to replace if someone spills their soda on it.

I'll second the Samsung T series... I have a 152T at work, and it's very easy on the eyes.

Samsung has a new 17" out right now that is specially designed for games and with a 9ms response time. Lemme see if I can find it somewhere. I believe it is the 172x, but it is 12ms.
