I have been following your links in various forums that you keep spaming to your site. If your going to spam then at least have the courtesy to NOT have a POPUP on EVERY damn page loaded.

I got six different pop-ups when I went there. I won't be going back to that site.

The box that had the flames on it was, IMHO, gawdy and over-done.

I only got a popup on page 1, and I don't have any type of popup-blocking software running either.

As for the machine, I thought it was a great job. A few things I would have done differently (not a big fan of flames), but the quality that it was done with was impressive. Now what I'd really like to see is an article on how to DIY powder-coat parts at home.

Well not all of us make assumptions about others based on our own secret habits.

I get popup crap everywhere, not to mention evil scripts, etc.

This one site i used to go to had THREE popups A PAGE!

"Do you want to download/install"
if you closed that two more windows popped up advertising the software you DID NOT want installed.

and yes it was Gater. ... *grumbles*

Was extremely annoying on the uni computers wher I could not do anything about it and the more windows that opened the more it overloaded the already maxed out RAM.

Now I just let them collect untill I finsh brousing and them ALT-F4 vrey rapidly to clear the screen.

If you don't mind, could you tell me where you got your powder coat paint? I semi understand the process and I think powdercoating is the way I need to go from now on. Thanks ahead of time.

I use Proxomitron 4.4 with JD5000's advanced filters and config, plus two or three filters I made myself.

Standard Javascript protection in IE along with added protection through Proxomitron keeps my system pretty much adware-free.

Those few that slip by my defenses are blocked from getting outside by ZoneAlarm and are summarily executed with Spybot S&D.

So, what's a popup?

Just checked and just got hit with a popup. It is a Java Script popup so it may not show up on some comps.

2 popups on every stinking page, sometimes more than 2. This is a fresh install of Windows, with very little stuff installed.

I'm not going back there anytime soon

The ideas behind the case were nice, but I personaly wouldn't touch that thing with a 10' pole. It was just a bit overdone, and the color scheme (was there a color scheme?) was a bit bright for my tastes.

Oh, well. To each their own, I guess

No, I get it on 5 different computers. 3 of which also have fresh installs of Win98. Popup hell. You might have your security set to no accept the java scripts or something. I got to have it on my comps though.

Where the heck is this thread going? Why is everyone here so excited about stupid popups? Yes, we all hate popups. What else is new? Wait, it's coming to me... I think it might have something to do with Staples' new rig...

In case some of you were to distracted by all those popups, this mod is one of the most ambitious I've ever seen. Staples, your craftsmanship is fantastic. I'm not in complete agreement with the aesthetic, but if that's your thing, I think you hit it squarely on the head! Might be good for maxpc coolest pc ever contest. Or at least a rig of the month.

Hmmm, no sorry, I am from the Kingston peninsula though. I've been in fredericton for the last two years, finishing my CS degree. Although my girlfriend/recent wife is from Hampton, Robin Brown. Maybe ya know her.
