Default Start a power supply w/out a MB?

Im moding my case, well, im kinda combining 2 cases, ones my computer and ones the "pump station". Well, Im goign to power my "pump station" with a sepp power supply (250 watts). But I want to be able to start the power supply on the pump station without having to go through a MB first. Is this possible? I do have a crap mb I can put in there for just that reason... but im sure its just a matter of connecting 2 of those prongs on the ATX form connector (right?)

I think you just have to connect any green to any black, but I haven't tried it personally so you'll probably want a second opinion on this.
