Default GPU Blocks, your thoughts?

It appears if I wish to maintain an all out effort to keep all non copper products out of my loop, with the exception of pvc hose and barbs, I will need to go with one of the sliverprop gpu blocks. Or, is there another block out here that is all copper? I have tried to find comparisons of the Swifty GPU, the Maze 4 GPU, and the SilverProp as well, but have had no luck. Can someone point me to some comparisons on these, or give me first hand performance knowledge?

Thanks guys for a great site. Always a pleasure to lurk and rad here.

Scroll down for chipset/gpu wbs. Read the entire reviews though; I believe JoeC publishes some higher flow rate data in them if you dig around.

I have a Maze4 GPU in the mail and an MC50 and MC50T already. I was planning on doing a GPU wb comparison at some time in the near future. Where can one purchase the Silverprop GPU block?

Also, frozenmods has them as well. Those are the only 2 places in North America that I am aware of.

Checked the link, and the Silverprops listed are the cpu and chipset blocks, not their gpu blocks, unless I missed something. Will check again. I would be greatly interested in your review of the gpu blocks mentioned thus far in this thread. I wonder why Swiftech or Danger Den do not market an all copper or copper/brass gpu block?

I just ordered a silverprop HL fusion from criticool for this very reason. I dont see whats so hard about making a copper toped block, besides cost. I would think though that having to pay the extra cost of anodizing aluminum that the costs would be equal.

Well, not only that. But irregardless of costs, if it is competitive and a performer, the wc community will buy it. I cant imagine it would be anything that made it cost prohibitive in the mfg process or the materila costs to switch the Maze 4 over. If only I had a bench top mill!

In GPU cooling, this very issue seems to be a recurring theme. Silverprop seemingly forever has held the copper loop retention GPU solution, and I wonder if any other players are making motions towards that direction. For instance if there were some cute wee MCW6002-GPU out there, I would most definately be finally won over and WC my GPU.

Bill? Any rumors from the interior?

has ne1 ever used a chipset block with 2 90 degree barbs on them?i was thinking about doing this with a maze 4 chipset block my ony other option is..

"Dimension (without connections): length 54 mm, width 54 mm, height 13 mm, dimension copper-cool-bodie: Length 40mm, width 40 mm, height 5 mm, weight approximately 135 grams"

but it looks like a flow killer to me  i wish there was more info on there site maybe if i run 2 paralel......

ne1 have this block? do u like it?

That looks like a miniature NexXxos block. Interesting. But yeah, it probably would kill your flow rates if it acts anything at all like it's larger brethren.

Dangerden says a brass topped Maze4GPU is forthcoming.

if copper/brass is good enough there's a tec-able version of the fusion
http://www.coolpc.com.au/catalog/pro...roducts_id=477

before you freak out note that the prices are in aussie dollars (approx 1.27 to the US$..... ) and include GST so you should be able to get it about 9% cheaper for export....
review here if you want to see one ....
