Will this booard take this chip?

OK my friend has a hp which uses the Asus p2b-vt motherboard. It currentlt has a p3 600 in it. Can this board handle a p3 1gh 100fsb chip?

It says there that it can handle an 800. I assume it could go 1000.
If you do not think t can do you think he would benefit much in 3d games if he goes from 600 to the 800? He has an ati 8500 in it now.

I've known that people have run 1ghz 100mhz fsb chips in a p2b, but I don't know what version, there are quite a few versions and differant revisions, check on the 2cpu forums, they will tell you
