Ok, my system is ALMOST exactly like what you're describing. I run an ADDA 116CFM 120mm fan on my blowhole, which is on the radiator. *But* for quiet sake, I keep all my fans throttled with my rheobus. I would say that the 120mm is only pushing around... 40-50CFM. I have to say that the BI-X performs admirably even without a 100+CFM fan. That was Chip just talking out of his ass. With my fans throttled, my computer will idle at about 35C with an ambient of 28C. With the fans full blast, the ambient in the case will drop to about 25C and the cpu temp will drop down to about 29-30C.
I see absolutely no need to move the hd rack back. It would be more wise to move the psu to the top, put the radiator where the psu is now, and keep your resivor where it's at. But even that is a little extraneous. You could save yourself a lot of work and put a 120 where the top two 80mm fans are for exhaust, and stick your radiator there. That way hot air will be going OUT of your case, and not into it. As long as you leave your hose barbs at the top of the radiator, the bubbles will not say in the radiator. If you leave your resivor where you have it, it will be at the highest point and you're good to go.

i think ill go with crappys version, but i will shroud the 120mm fan and use the dual 80s like he does.
With shrouds the temps will go down a little bit but his temps are good anyways.

one more thing, crappy can you measure the temperature of the air that comes out of the 120mm fan on the BIX
if it is not too hot ill leave the HDDs down on the bottom of the case just a little bit moved to the back.

one other thing crappy how did you mount the BI on the case ?

Ok the air temperature of my room is 21c the air temperature comming from the 120mm fan is 23c. The case temp at this time is 25c

What I did to mount the BIX was to remove the hard drive cage. Then I moved the speaker from the floor of the case and moved it.

Next I removed the floppy drive cage and setup the BIX on it's side. I hooked it all up then slid the floppy drive cage back in on top of the BIX holding it in place.

Hope that helps.

ok i think 23 deg is not too hot to harm the harddrives, it will probably cool them pretty good...
that installation is very interesting does the black ice fit exactly in that gap so you can push fit it ?
thats very good

btw why dont you shroud your fans to improve performance a little bit ?
I thought about just using longer screws and wrapping duct tape around them so its airtight ?

btw: crappy, i just noticed, you are not using a PC70 so i wont be able to mount my BI like yours ...
i guess i have to come up with something else...

does it matter what direction the barbs of the radiator are ?
best would be on top right ?

It should be the same height as the PC-70. The PC-70 picks up the height with the 5 1/4 bays on the top. Now if there is alittle more room there you can stand the BIX up on end with the fitting on top.

The way I have it now is a good fit and works fine with the fitting on the side. Just have to make sure you get all the air out of it

I did put a shroud on the 80mm fans going to the BIX those temp I gave are with the shroud. Temps were about 1 to 2c higher without it.

no its not the same size
even if i turn the BI 90 degrees with fittings on top there is still about 2 inches of room.
i guess ill have to make some kind of clamp or something

can you show me a pic of that shroud ?

Ok here is a idea you can use (2) L-brackets to hold the BIX up and screw it to the floor of the case.

It's just cardboard I cut and taped to the fan and BIX just to see how it would work. Now I'll make a metal one

i will see what i can do with the holes i will have from moving the Hdd cage

btw crappy why dont you raise your vcore a little and push that xp1900 up to 1750?
im pretty sure it will make it

I have

I was running at 2000 (160x12.5) 2.1 volts but it was just alittle too much heat for me, idle temp was 41c. Don't ask what the load temp was

just get an electronics store to do it for you, they shouldn't charge too much
