Default Some REAL cooling (Why the ^%#^$%$ did I move here?)

Woke up this am to this:

Here is the chair I was sitting in last weekend. I was wearing shorts, drinking a beer, and surfing the intareweb from my notebook:

I have crafted a haiku to summarize my feelings:

Dear mother nature:
Stop with the goddamn winter.
Enough is enough

That's the cold air swooping through the area, down from the mountains (Rockies).

You'll be golfing this afternoon

We had snow a few days ago too, and since it's only mid-april I still expect more again. After mid-may the chance for snow starts to go down pretty good, till around late-september or early-october when it will start again.

But then you get the unusual years. I've personally seen snow fall at least once in every month of the year (though not all in the same year, but if it happens before I die I won't be too suprized) If you think that sucked, just wait till you get August snow.

Well being in the capitol we get tons of "townies" people from the burbs who drive VERY reckless and agressive, but do it at 5 Mph under the speed limit.

I so ****ing hate those people.

Well on a more cheerful note...

Here in Houston, Texas, we're enjoying 80 degree weather, with comfortable 60'ish nights.

(but in a month or two, it'll be hotter than hell )

It's a highway sound barrier: pHaestus must be near the T-Can (trans-canadian highway).

It's not a highway sound barrier; there arent even any highways in this part of the world. It is a mall; the alley for trucks is between my fence and that wall. I think that's a Zellers to be more specific. It is really convenient to be able to go out back gate into mall with wal-mart, radio shack, eb games, safeway, etc etc. It isn't that noisy either so no worries.

Yeah, I'd have guessed it was the Trans Canada, but then Zellers has never really been my style of choice. I can say if I design a mall I'd make even the trucking side look sexier than a sound barrier

Yeah the convenience must be nice sometimes, I have to get on the Trans Can just to get anywhere decent - only for liek 5 min. mind you, but still - I can't walk the minimum required speed of 60Km/hour :P

I was wondering how that big swamp cooler was hovering over the highway.

Nah, our freeways are boring here. It is the talk of the town when a Furnace goes by.
