Heatsink are big cause they are slower to get the heat away. You want the heat out of the metal as quick as possible, therefore a die inlet is best. See Cathars block for the current best WB design, and you can make something not too dissimlar. (Including G design etc.) |

I was doing .09inch passes on my mini mill today with 3/16inch ball end mill.

pretty nice, but kinda slow, .05inches seems best for speed to depth ratio
