Very similar approach to a cold compress pad (cooling) for sprains, such as a twisted ankle. The difference is the reuse of the materials.

I don't like the use of ammonia as the liquid-gas carrier though. If a leak does occur, at least you would know it (and wake up any unconscious person nearby).
