who wants to make me two waterblocks?

70mm x 100mm.
Socket A.
can use 4 holes or 3 clip hold down.
Can have multiple outlets.
Prefer just one inlet - 12.5mm ID, just pipe is ok - 15mm OD.
All soldered copper construction.
For XP2200+ on Iwill MPX2.

I'm looking at Fix/Rotor/Jaydee/Morphling here, but any one with a cnc mill is free to put their design in. Please PM me about pricing, but I'd like the designs to be posted in here.

I'm in the process of getting new machine, so If you're still without a block in about one month (maybe less), I can make you one. And are you sure that the mobo will accept the block that size, plus is that for pelt use ?

do you really need the block to be soldered together.....soldering conterminates the internal surface area, and is not 100% leakfree manufacture, along with some nasty warping and whatnot....( i can if you want to)

oh by the way , anybody has the specs on the new socket 754(AMD Hammer) dimencions... distanses and hole placings...

It would be a one of a kind custom block and would not be cheap to make. If money is a serious constraint, I'm not your first choice.

If you run a mixture of sulfuric acid and water through the soldered block, you can remove 99% of the leftover contaminants from soldering. Leave the mixture in the block overnite, then flush it out several times. It will remove nearly all of the leftover flux and black residue.

well, im kinda still here. Been really slow here. Due to the summer.

But I am ordering a larger motor for my machine. So copper shouldnt be a problem anymore.

AMD's demo machines used P4 blocks IIRC. Hopefully they will standardize all their CPUs much like the P3/Socket A clips.

If you pre-tin the mating surfaces beforhand and clean all the crap off before the final assembly you can eliminate most of the residue problem.

Look familiar brad?

I was getting around to making and testing that design of yours but only got the first set of code done for the CNC. Still need to make the code for the rest of the passes. The only problem I am seeing is sealing it. Might have to go with 2.5" wide material instead to add a few screws in the sided in the middle. And maybe go with 3/4" thick material and make it 1/2" Deep and 3/8" wide channels. I been having pretty good luck with deeper narrow channels.

If I only had the time I would do a few up. But looks like I woun't for a few months.

Thats a pretty good offer guys. If any of you have a block design in mind and can get the GNC code (the code that controls the CNC mill to make the blocks) made it sure would be a lot easier/cheaper to have it made. Shops charge a small forture if they have to make the code for you, most just tell you to piss off because it is a super small project. But if you have the code it would be a lot easier to get it done.

I can't help to think about how many different parameters there would be though, like the bit size. I mean, anybody can come up with a design, but can it be milled, is a separate question.

Any clues? Guides? Advice?

If the material is aluminum, you can leave that to me. Copper is another story (no experience milling that!). I'll try anything once!

sorry guys - somewhat ironically I've had a water leak. It's taken me a couple of days to sort out, I'm posting from work right now, but I will be able to reply to you all and sort it all out tonight

Couple of quick things - non-pelt use, both the same, and I definately have 70mm x 100mm of space in both sockets.
