Default Watercooling a p4 in a PC71

ok .. ive been thinking bout watercooling for sooo long .. i tried it once on a amd and i fried it cuz i didnt tighten it down .. but that was a long time ago .. i wanna make the system fully inside my case .. nothing external .. i will be watercooling a p4 2.533 on an ibit it7max2 .. what should i get ? how will i fit it .. i really dont wanna go hacking my case .. here is my idea .. let me know what you think and ideas of mounting things ..

dd maze 3 ... either a black ice xtreme or a black ice pro ..
eheim 1048 or 1250 pump ..

now should i go closed loop or a res ? i was thinking of placing the rad in my 120mm blowhole in the top of the case ..

the pump im trying to find where to mount cuz that damn hd cage gets in the way .. any ideas ??

can i run it like this .. pump - rad - maze 3 - back to pump .. and put a T fitting in between the pump and rad ? and then i would just run the tube up the side with a cork in it .. ???
now to go about filling the system .. i would just take that fill tube and pour water in there until the system was full ?? then put the cork in the tube and start the pump .. and then im done ??

any advice or opinions is much appreciated

It may be too extreme for you but this page shows what I did to a PC70.

I did try a chevette heater core up at the top under a 120mm blow hole in an aluminum shroud/holder attached to the 120mm fan, but didn't like the results. Plenty of room up there for the 6" x 6" core rather than the smaller, expensive BIX. I had soldered brass bungs for 1/8" pipe plugs on the heater core tanks opposite the inlet/outlet. I would slide the core out slightly and remove both plugs for the initial fill and bleed, removed just the suction side to top it off. Didn't need a t or fill line like that.

I removed my hard drive carriage altogether and relocated the case speaker. 4 rivets can put it back in, but it depends on how many drives you want to install. I only needed two upper bays for two 18GB SCSI drives.

You can mount the pump off of or in the lowest upper drive bay, but it caused too much vibration in the case, even with rubber mounts. I had to remove the case top cover and put a layer of tape between the two upper case supports and top cover to keep them from vibrating together with the pump in the upper drive bays. Harmonics are great, they try to escape at the most unsecured places. It's only 4 rivets that hold the top cover on anyway, and 8-32 screws can be installed to put it back on rather than rerivet it.

There are other PC70/71 cases in the Cool Cases forum here that can give you additional ideas.
