Default to buy or not to buy...

that is a very good question..
I'm looking for another graphics card.. but its for me, but not for me.. if you get the idea..
At the moment, i have a Sparkle Geforce 3 Ti200 64mb card, which does me ok, but is not me. Before this card, I had the most excellent, Gigabyte Maya 2 9700 Pro, which i gave that one to my gf's son..
Now as im stuck with a slower card, Im thinking, i want something faster, so if at all, i can replace my g3 with another card, then i whenever i can get back my 9700 pro or just give that to the gf and then shes got something faster and then i can get a faster card again.. what does anyone think?
the card i have thought about getting would be another ATI card, as im not going to buy anymore nvidia's, i just dont like them, they dont look as nice graphically and to be honest, most of them arent as fast now...
I was thinking of buying ATI 9500 Pro 128mb version, but i have been seeing a powercolour ati 9500 pro?? whats all that about? anyway, the card is about £140 (at the most!) and will do everything that i want it to, plus its directx 9 compatiable, so it will play all the latest games no prob..
me and my gf normally play command and conquer style games, but also like unreal tournament style like unreal (durrrrr!!!) and the command and conquer : renegade..
it would going in a xp1800 setup, with 512mb of ram, kg7 board, etc etc.. so would it be ok in there?
if anyone think that any other card would be best to have a look at, please let me know, failing it to be ATI there will be a slim chance i might change, but i dont think so..
thanks for the help! (in advance)

I've got a Sapphire 9500 PRO 128MB, I'm very satisfied with it.

Whats what all about? Power Color is a manufacture of the card and uses the ATI GPU. ATI is doing like Nvidia and selling the GPU's to other manufactures so they can make their own version of each card. Is that what you ment? And BTW Power Color is to video cards like PC Chips is to mother boards.

Like I said it is like using PC Chips for a mobo. They have the same chipset as ASUS or Abit but all the other stuff that makes the chipset work is bear minimum to work at stock speeds on Power Color and the price is reflective of that. If you go with a bigger name you get higher quality parts and the price is refective of that. If you buy a cheap card you get a cheap card.

However before taking my word to seriously try and find a review of the Power Color card and see what the results are. You never know if they decide to make things better.
