I've read many of the previous posts, but I'm still in need of some expert advice. I haven't bought anything yet, but the plan is to get a Mag Drive pump and a copper poly-block from overclock-watercool. There is no peltier in my system. What radiator offers the best balance between low price and performance, for those of us who aren't using peltier and don't need any overkill? I'm on a budget, but want to get quality stuff the first time around.
Thanks, Scojo |

I honstly think the new black ice radiator OCWC is going to be peddle'n, is the best radiator for its size around. I think its good for non Pelt users but can easily scale to handle large pelts and hot CPU's.

If you've got the space in your case for it, Big Momma rulez.

Big Momma and Black Ice both look like really nice radiators, but are they overkill for those of us who overclock without pelts? Today's thought is putting my pump, fans and radiator in a separate box under my desk to keep things as quiet as possible. So, size isn't that big of an issue. I like the idea of using a transmission oil cooler from an auto parts store, if it's a bargain.
Thanks, Scojo |

If you don't mind soldering a little, I would get a replacement heater core from the auto parts store, mines a Ford replacement, it cost me about $25.00. The Big Mama from OCWC is a heater core but it's $45.00. Simple math.

I'd definately say the OCWC Black Ice radiator is the best way to go. The Big Momma is just that, too big. Unless you have a huge case or want the radiator outside the case, get the Black Ice. A good radiator is very important for those who watercool w/o pelts because you dont have the peltier to add to the cooling.

Go to Trak Auto and pick up a Hayden Trans cooler. They have them stocked all over the country. You cant lose with it. With 2, 120mm fans you cant go wrong. Good luck

I got my hayden 1676 for 29.04+6.00 s&h It will cool better than most other rads at a awsome price. I just can't spend 60.00 bucks on one of those (I bought it from a parts store trippled the price, and sell it as a custom rad) radiators. btw the hayden 1676 sells on most of those OC scame sites for 40-60 bucks!Delta auto. Also I Got to talk to their radiator dude real personal like and sent him picks and complete stats on cooling rigs and he reccomended the hayden. He said it really didn't matter much even running a pelt. what mattered most of all was the ammount of airflow passing over the rad. With the stats I sent him on my Panflows he stated to get MAX cooling out of my rad the fans needed to be ONE inch away from the RAD. this knocks out the "dead spot" in the fan's airflow and maximises flow over the monster water passes. well thats what i did anyway.
