Default 9800XT or 5950Ultra.

I am getting fed up with all the damn biased reviews i keep finding.

5950Ultra is nVidias latest slot hog, i have one, and it sucks. my question is, would an 9800XT suck as much, less, or more?

If you have either card, please post your thoughts on the card, and wether you think it was worth the money?

i think my 9800 XT ( an ASUS one) is worth my bucks spending to have it :-) i enjoy playing games with the highest FSAA and AA settings in the control panel :-) nice proprietory cooling too! :-) it also has a Video IN/ Video OUT function so i can edit my analog films :-) here's my system setup and some benchmarks of the ASUS 9800 XT all in stock settings!

You could do a 9800pro 256>9800xt soft mod relatively easily, probably save you 100 bucks, but that is just an opinion from a guy who is cheap Yeah, the 9800xt is a great card.

Have a 5950 running 565/1020 on stock air cooling and it works just fine for me. I do need faster, but I tried the 9800's all the way to the XT and they didn't do it for me.

Anyway that's the dissenting $.02
